I do not care if Prince William and Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley, had an affair. Or didn’t have an affair. If Kate and Rose had a falling out or are the best of friends. An alleged affair is actually the least interesting thing about the whole situation. What I can’t stop thinking about is the utter lack of curiosity from the British media—in particular the British tabloids—who are never above running a story with dubious sources and heaps of speculation.

In a way I feel bad for Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales. Until recently a sovereign keeping a lover was, well, kind of tradition.
