I vaguely remember seeing this concert on MTV or VH1... and wondering why, as a child of the 70s, I had never heard Silver Spring on the radio. Maybe they started playing it more frequently after this concert? Anyway, it's a great sing along song (I saw Pat Beneath in concert a few years ago and before she sang 'We Belong' she told all the women in the audience to pretend we were in front of our mirrors with our hairbrushes and sing along, because she knew we did just that!)
that's an incredible story! Silver Springs was released on the Fleetwood Mac re-release of Rumours plus a ton of early recording sessions and live songs in the early 2000s. After the 1997 tour it definitely became more popular and won a Grammy for them in 1998.
They apparently were back together during this era and then broke up right before the actual performance because he found out his girlfriend was pregnant
